Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a Sport II from Sportsmans Outdoor. After missing all the $499 ones with free shipping, and scouring site after site to see "out of stock" on the rifle, even in the $6-700 price range, I pulled up SO and they had it for $549 shipped, no tax and since I've dealt with them before on a pistol purchase, I thought "what the hell" and bought it. Hopefully I'll see it shipping out to my FFL soon.

Part of me is saying "You really don't need this rifle" but another part is saying "Get one while you still can!" along with "and when the zombie apocalypse happens, you're good!"

Now I need to see what other guns I could sell to help offset the cost of this.
