I haven't tried to holster this one, but I have a similar optic on a 66. I took a run of the mill leather holster and cut a big notch in the front to accommodate the sight. Burnished the edges, added a little brown shoe dye and it looks great.
To me, these Quiets are tolerable without muffs, but I'd probably wear them out of habit for an extended plinking session. If you couldn't stand to shoot a few without ear protection, they probably wouldn't have a place in your arsenal.
And then, I've emptied a .44mag revolver in the deer woods and don't remember any discomfort. I wouldn't accept a $5 bill to shoot a single round without muffs at the range.
