Personally, I would pay $500 for a functionally sound Model 28 shooter with a nice finish, regardless if it was original or not. You’ll be hard pressed to find a blue one in good condition for that price. Someone will come along and disagree, but most likely won’t be able to point to one for sale anywhere. I shouldn’t post when I’m sleepy, I tend to get a little cranky. Sorry,
