Fantastic Photos!!

I am contemplating having a Unfluted .44mag Cylinder sent out to be bored to .45lc, and cut for Moonclips. Then installed it in a 625-3 3”. Is it preferable to use a 625 Frame or 629 Frame for the conversion? Or are both internally the same being N frames? I know I’ll have to have the barrel shank substantially shorted to fit the new cylinder. Is it more cost effective to just use a 629 barrel and Frame and have that bored out as well? Just want to consider all my options before sending it out.

Here is a model 629-1 reamed to 45 colt and a 5" full lug barrel installed

Here is a 629-1 with a reamed cylinder cut to also fire 45 acps in clips sporting a 4" barrel

Here is a 1955 setup with a reamed 29 cylinder

and finally a 455 triple lock I picked up with cylinder reamed to take 45 colts

Yes, I like 45 colt S&W revolvers
