I recently sold back a Model 10 back to the person I purchased from, after about 8 years. It was my first S&W revolver too. Every time I saw him he would ask if I still had it and I would say yes. Finally over coffee last month with a third party, the subject of guns was brought up and the 10 mentioned, and the the question asked, and answered with a yes. He then began telling the third party about how he sold it to me and I could hear the regret in his voice, though it had never been mentioned. He was not that kind of guy to hang a regret on someone else.
I just looked at him and said, would you want it back. I have never seen that kind of instant joy on a face and with his resounding yes, we made things right. I may come across another sometime, but I know he is really happy and I'll just hold my Model 15 a little closer now, after all, its kind of like having the son of 10.
