I made a trip to my LGS Saturday afternoon, scouting for a 1911, with the features I want, and in the price I've got budgeted. 1911s are what I grew up on. I own and shoot quite a few of them. I have hand built hundreds, perhaps more 1911s over the last 4 decades
In fact I am working on a Officer's Model chambered in 38 Super and set up for pocket carry. I give thanks to the good folks at Metalform for making magazines available for the project
I have a Coyote HK45 Tactical, but mostly just to have one. I prefer the larger grip and increased capacity of the USP family of autoloaders, but then I do have large hands
