I like the feel of the Tyler T grip as well on the j frames, but I have noticed after removing the T grip, there are two indentations on the front edge of each wood grip left from the Tyler.

On the older j frame(s) that I have, I’m not fond of the damage on excellent condition vintage grips.

Anyone else experience this?
