Definitely not the hammer block. And firing pin retaining pin seems in place.
I’m a mechanic by trade so all my toys eventually get completely taken apart and put back together. I try to figure them out and understand them as much as I can. I have more of a bond and more confidence with them afterwards. Unfortunately, sometimes growing pains do apply. I had seen a bunch of 686 videos and had seen this be done with nothing going flying.
