I noticed my new 66-8 has just a little perceptible endshake. Perhaps this was done on purpose, to allow for some clearance to prevent the cylinder from binding when things get a little dirty?
Until the gun starts binding up!

Depending on bullet type, lubrication, powder type and primer and the amount of clearance (diameter) between the yoke barrel and cylinder center bore, there are simply too many variables to even venture a guess! I have a 1948 K-38 that needs to be cleaned every 50 rounds with wad-cutter loads with Bullseye, and others that can go hundreds of rounds with the same ammunition.

No.
