Since all manufacturing changes were transitioned in over time, no date will completely separate revolvers by features. If separating revolvers by manufacturing advances was the goal, the sub forums could have been short action hand ejectors, long action hand ejectors and for the earliest group, top break and tip up revolvers. The question is would that be simpler for new members who are not avid collectors to use. Of course, someone would find that system's platypus. All classification systems have their platypus.
