The gun is a -4, whether marked that way, or not. The proper product code is 102298 (it's on the box label). That other number you wrote, if you look again, is just a misread version of the s/n with an "S" in front.

This gun left the factory in Springfield, Mass., in....
March - April of 1984.
It's a product code 102302 if round butt, 102303 if square.
