Thanks, Continental Op, but I have been working on it a little since I posted above...I was waiting for the right barrel to come along...here is the same gun, but with a 3 1/4" barrel:
HamHands, please forgive the thread drift!! But you might be interested in the load that I have worked up for it, which seems to shoot just fine (really limited test so far...will post more later. But with .45 Auto Rim cases, and a big, heavy, semi wadcutter, hard cast, kubricated bullet (see the load data on the target), it seems to group pretty well. I admit that this project has just been a labor of love, but I would feel pretty confident in this combination of gun and cartridge in a self defense scenario. It also shoots regular .45 ACP rounds pretty well, but not quite as accurately.
