I went from a full size Colt 1911 to a Colt Commander to a LW Kimber Custom Compact (Officer size frame and 4" Bbl.) The full and Commander size Colt's with steel frames FINALLY made me surrender to the fact that I'm getting older and need to get some of this weight off my belt. After 20 years of a full size steel frame 1911 then 5 years of a Commander carried IWB it got to be more of a pain in the hip than a pain in the ***.
