The gun looks fine.If mechanically it is as sound as it looks,I'd say that even if you'd have paid $100 more that would be unimportant since the thing is a keeper and eventually will recoup the investment;it will only take a little longer.
Remember that when you pay a cheap price for something that doesn't last,you've paid too much for whatever it might be.But if you pay a little too much for something of good quality,you will have long forgotten the price you paid for it but long remember the good times you've had with it.
