Full throttle 44 mag loads out of my 9.5” SRH are down right comfy to shoot. 44 specials through that are laughably non recoiling. I can shoot 480s just fine through my SBH Bisley but I’ve been shooting 30 yrs. would not recommend as a first gun because it’s more of a specialized round tailored to expensive reloading almost exclusively. Brass is $53 per 100 and unless you cast (I do not) bullets cost about twice what 44 mag bullets run and most likely you would have to special order them.
