I have the 38 +p in my 2 and 3 inch carry guns both .38 and .357 mag. Shoot great with not a great amount of recoil. Test by luckygunner showed the .38+p performed great out of short barrel revolvers. And they're cheap. I think last box I bought was around $22 for a box of 50
