Once upon a time I bought a used 625-2 that I am guessing was unloaded by the prior owner as it spit HORRIBLY and was not wildly accurate. The forcing cone was cut as bad or maybe worse than yours. My gunsmith set the barrel back two turns and recut the forcing cone. Gun now shoots wonderfully. One would hope that S&W quality control would be better than that. One would be wrong.
