Absolutely, yes! Keep guns where you are apt to need them the most even when you are not even thinking about needing to carry a gun. I live in Georgia where your car is an extension of your house in all legal regards. Worried about theft? You can steal a gun from a person's house just as easy as from his car or truck. Maybe easier. I can kick my way through most walls of most houses built these days. A double-wide is not even an obstacle. Most safes and lock boxes don't deter a thief hardly at all. Around here they steal the whole safe and open it later. People worry too much about theft. Worry more about needing a gun and not having one within reach.
