I've told this before, but it bears repeating.
A few years ago at work I got to talking to a couple of local LEOs and the subject came around to guns. They both said that the vast majority of stolen gun reports they do are for weapons stolen out of vehicles. Just something to think about.
Last January I was at a gun show and someone broke into my truck. Obviously looking to score guns because they didn't take anything else. They totally ignored my tools and other expensive things they could have stolen. Good thing is that they struck out. No guns in my truck. I later learned that several vehicles were hit that day and the thieves did find some guns.
If there's a gun in my vehicle its because its strapped to me.
