I witnessed someone trying to access my work truck once. I was hanging wallpaper in a nursing home and happened to look out the window and saw a resident attempting to open my driver side door. It was locked and boy was I glad because I had my loaded SIG 239 under the seat. I was young then and since that time, I always make sure all my vehicle doors are locked! Also, I never leave a gun in my truck overnight.

For the last 12 years, I not only lock my truck and car, I also lock the gun with a Master Lock trigger lock. So if I need to walk into a post office or wherever I cannot carry my gun, my vehicle and my gun are both locked. I just makes sense to me to do that. The trigger lock could ultimately be defeated, but it would certainly prevent my firearm from being used by a criminal to harm others.
