Not that a 380 can't be very lethal (hey James Bond used one), but to equate a 100gr bullet at an optimistic 1000fps with a "useless" 200 gr 45 caliber one going 850fps is quite a leap of faith. I wonder why all the police departments, FBI, and other alphabet soup don't go to the 380/ They have pretty well left the 45 acp, true, but not because of its killing power. It lost favor because recoil management by most people and round count is the big reason.

You like your 380. fine. I am happy for you. I could care less if you want to pack it or even a 22lr. Hey, the 22 has killed and will kill lots of people. It is my choice to pack a 45 acp and if I have to defend myself or mine I guess I will just hope the assailants I shoot with its "useless" bullets get real annoyed and decide to just go away.
