The .22magnum might be one of the best SHTF/Survival rounds available....... at least in the lower 48 states. Squirrels to Deer.... 2 &4 legged varmints out to 100yds

Don't have a handgun in .22mag but love my CZ 452 FS/mannlicher in that caliber...... .out of a 18 inch barrel the .22 mag has the muzzle energy of a 9mm.......
