I'm a currently serving RSO in Africa and am just dejected over DS's disposal of all those 2 1/2" and 4" model 19s. Despite having put tens of thousands of rounds through the three different SIGs I've been issued over the past 18 years along with the Glock 19 and Beretta 92 I can still pick up one of those revolvers and even the Ruger SP-101s we used to have in the inventory and hit faster and more accurately with them, or even the 1911 or Browning Hi Power or CZ-75. I've always found it odd and sad that DS never fielded any .357 magnum ammunition but for a .38 the old Federal Nyclad wasn't bad. Believe me I'd much rather carry a 4" 19 than the 229R I currently carry daily...
