I have an original in 30/06 and it's one of my favorite rifles. I
don't know if Jap repros are stronger but loads of 45,000 psi
or less are recommended for originals. Mine is in very good
shape and is exceptional shooter. I found that bullets 160gr to
200gr shoot the best. Also mine will not shoot Spitzer bullets.
The new ones will. I'm loading for mine with military match
brass and pulled FMJ bullets from GI issue 30/40 Krag ammo.
I would like to get a original carbine. Mine is a rifle and isn't the
handiest in the thick stuff and it's certainly no FW.
