Somehow I fell out of circulation and missed the powder coated and other coated bullets. Even my old Lyman 450 lube sizer is dust covered. Heck, I can't find decent lead anymore so I just buy bullets, boolits, whatever. I've heard that the plated bullets can shed the plating when pushed too fast.
The blue ones I casted and powder coated myself.
I have pushed mine, and commercial from Bayou, SNS, Missouri bullet, to +1400fps without leading.

My wax lube days are behind me, powder coating is easier, less smoke and mess, no leading.
