Cool **SOLD** Nickel Model 27-2 3-1/2 Inch Snubby Goodness **SOLD**

This Model 27-2, s/n N 214664, left the factory on March 17, 1975 and letters as it appears, with a 99+% factory nickel finish, a 3-1/2 inch barrel featuring a Patridge front sight with a McGivern gold bead, a white outline on the rear sight, and checkered walnut stocks. The authenticating factory letter signed by Smith & Wesson Historian Roy Jinks is included in this sale.

Unusually, this revolver also has a factory installed smooth, wide trigger. As you know, the common wide trigger is grooved. This one has been polished smooth before case hardening. Although this feature is not discussed in the factory letter, Don Mundell (Club Gun Fan), Assistant Historian of the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation, has verified with text and photographs posted on this site that the factory made such triggers and that they were available by special order.

The stocks, while correct for the period, actually number to another gun.

The price for this beautiful and unusual 27-2, as shown above, has been reduced to just $2,000 shipped fully insured from my FFL to yours.

If you want to buy the revolver with a second set of stocks -- elephant ivory carved by the incomparable Alex Harper (Harper known for crafting gunstocks - San Antonio Express-News) -- the total cost will be $3,250 (also reduced by $200), insured shipping FFL to FFL included.

Harper's genuine ivory stocks are notable for the quality of the raw material, their thickness and unique heavy profile (which assures that they will never split with normal use), beautiful grain, and excellent fit.

This firearm is available locally and may be posted on other websites. All Forum rules and applicable laws, regulations, and tariffs apply. The first "I'll take it" posted here followed by a confirmatory PM or email gets the gun. I will accept personal checks, cashiers checks, or preferably, a bank-to-bank wire transfer for this beautiful, rare Smith & Wesson revolver. Please feel free to ask me any questions, or, to request additional photographs.
