Well, after I bought a brand new Model 342 Ti Airlite in 1999 (that was right before the lock), I didn't buy another new S&W until 2016 when I bought a 442-1 No Lock. Then earlier this year, I purchased another new S&W revolver, a 642-1 No lock. You know, I spend thousands and thousands of dollars on brand new firearms between 1999 and 2016, but each and every dollar was marked
no lock, so S&W didn't see any until I discovered the 442-1 in 2016. Frankly, I think that Model 36 Classic is a cute little revolver . . . but . . . well, you know.
