I have posted here, a letter from Roy about a "weird" 745 that I had got. My computer is down, (no pictures,) so I can't repost it, but you can find it. The letter list all of the 745 variations, and numbers. As they say, never say never when talking about S&W's, but although it doesn't appear to be factory original, it is still very cool.
Did you put the green insert in the front sight?
