It has what appears to be a set of aftermarket replacement stocks (probably Sile, made in Italy), and the butt swivel or lanyard ring on the bottom of the grip frame would have been an unusual addition although it looks to be a factory part.

Because of this and how you found it, I might be curious to get a letter of authenticity on it - this would tell you when and to whom it shipped, and if the swivel was original to the gun:

I would see no harm in reporting you found it to whatever law enforcement agency having jurisdiction where you found it (US Forest Service, AK State Troopers, etc.) - perhaps someone reported it stolen (not that you did that) and would like it back?

Also, someone else is going to write it so I will beat them to it - were there any bear claw marks on the holster? Plenty of members here like to discuss handguns for bear defense here . Hope this is helpful.
