We have been through this many many times. If it has a square butt it is a 1905. If it has a round butt it is a 1902. At least until S&W ceased using that "Model of 190x" terminology around 1915. And there are no square butt 1902s. You might want to read through this thread: Model 1902 M&P in 38spl HELP
