Thank you. And, there were thousands made, making supply pretty much surpassing demand. Next to my K22, the .38 is my favorite shooter of all my handguns. I could never see it selling more than $300-350. It just surprised me to see the revolver pictured selling for $270; but then, I bought one of those 92S Berettas and it's an excellent shooter that is very worn externally. If I scratch it, so what?! (I think it was from an Italian PD storage warehouse.) So sorry for confusing you! After I re-read my post, and thinking about the popularity and dependability of the Mod. 10s, I believe I answered my own question, had I thought about it for twenty minutes! I bet almost everyone who owns more than three .38 specials has or had at least one S&W model 10 at one time or another.
