I just purchased a Model 17 6 shot .22 today....but I have to wait for a 10 day background check to be conducted and then its comes home with other S&W's....paid $600 for it...lady's husband had passed and she wanted to get rid of weapon...she said her husband has had it for over 40 years...appears yours is also in excellent condition...I'm trying to find out when this Model 17 was manufactured...SN K336932...I wrote S&W corporate offices today and hope they will help me find what I wanted.
