It all depends on where the gun was bought. If ordered with custom features from S&W directly it could, but if shipped to a distributor and then to a dealer before sale to him there would be difficulty tracing from S&W to him. Dealers 4473 forms don't go anywhere but at the dealer until they give up their license.
