If I was "limited" to just one powder for all my pistols, 38 Spcl.+P to 500 Magnum, it'd be Power Pistol. It's excellent in 10mm & below and 44 Spcl. & 45ACP. I don't load any of those light.
Yeah it's not the best for powder-puff loads or in the larger cartridges, but IF it's what I had to use even in "reduced" loads for the 460 Mag or 500 Mag only, I'd still be over-gunned for anything I plan on encountering.
And if I was "allowed" to have only two powders 2400 would be the other. More than adequate for 41 Mag & above. Downloadable & flexible.
But like
Sevens said, DON'T limit yourself on the powders in your inventory. You need to explore others possibilities but buy powders you can use in multiple cartridges.
FWIW: Power Pistol is one of the five powders I use in my moderate 44 Mag target loads at the indoor range.
Alliant 2004 listed 13.5gr as max. with a 240gr JHP. I found 12.0gr @ ~1200fps groups very well in my 329PD using 240gr Zero JSP bullets on it's break-in sessions.
I use 21.0gr/P-P in my 500 Mag "reduced loads" with 300/350gr bullets.
