I had a K4 on my Marlin 1894 and took it off and replaced with
K3. Both scopes worked well but the K4 looks like a target scope
on a 1894 and power wasn't needed. Actually going back to Lyman 66 reciever sight. I got excited when Ohio rifle season was
passed, took reciever sights off 1894 & 1895 and mounted scopes
and also had Marlin 375w /scope. When I got in woods I didn't like the scopes. Where I hunt 99% of deer are shot under 100yds in thick cover. In thick cover with fast moving deer a scope is not
much help. If you are a stand hunter it is a different story.
