Getting a 7-shot VS 6-shot 686. To me it was a choice between just how many KINDs of speed-loaders does one want? I have five handguns and that requires that I have four different speed-loaders. I bought my most recent 686 WITH a 6-shot cylinder.

Why? Part of that decision was based on my choice NOT to have to add ANOTHER type of speed-loader to the mix. Plus, that and I already have another 686 6-shot.

At least all of my handguns have either .38 Special or .357 Magnum capability. Something else to consider when developing your "collection"...

FWIW, there are plenty of 7-shot .38/.357 choices out there, so don't think that I am dissing them. I'm not. It is just IMO, that can-be/is more difficult keeping so many types of speed-loaders separate, particularly when CC.
