in 1994 I was at a gun show in Kalamazoo Michigan. Saw a Model 29-2 4" LNIB complete with the wood presentation box. I want to say it was $550.00. Making my loop through the show, I passed by another table full of S&W revolvers. Dealer there asked me if I'd seen anything interesting in the show, not thinking a guy selling guns would want to buy, I said yeah, a 29-2 4", I think I'll head back that way and pick it up. Anyhow, I made it through the next row of tables, then went back to the table at the beginning of the show where the 29-2 was. There was the other dealer, walking past me with a smug look on his face, with the 29-2 under his arm. Moral of the story is strike when the irons hot. I've taken guns to pedal at shows, and have had dealers pull out 10 year old blue books to quote prices from. Knowledge is everything.
