Other than 44 specials are cool, and you have to clean a 44 magnum more when shooting specials out of it, what reasons would you give for owning a Model 24?
Why own a Model 24?
.44 Special.
End of story.

It's kind of like asking why own a model 14 or 15 when you can get a 19 and shoot Specials and Magnums.
Because (to me) the 14 and 15 look better, and I like .38 revolvers.
Plus, I shoot a LOT more .38 and .44 Special than .357 and .44 Magnum ammo.

It's as though some people think there's something inherently wrong with the Specials that only a Magnum can fix.

For me, I prefer the barrel taper of the 15 and 24 to the 19 and 29.
