I posted recently about including links to products. I went overboard, after discussion with my betters I need to clarify.
Posting a link in answer to a question like Who makes... or Where can I find... is allowed.
Posting links to other firearms forums is not allowed.
Posting a link after stating “ You’ve got to see this !” is discouraged. Why should we see it, tell us about it before posting what amounts to a bare link.
Posting a link to your website or a friend’s website in an attempt to generate traffic is not a good idea.
So, exchange of information is always good, self promotion or shilling for a friend isn’t.
