This is the polymer detent that depresses the ejector. I managed to put the pistol back together by giving the muzzle a firm but not overbearing slap with my hand. Doing so trenched the detent and the pistol assembles easily, but I'm concerned that the ejector isn't being depressed during operation as it should be.
