A really nice roundbutt conversion and I love the dark grips. With such nice work it makes me wonder why the 'smith didn't remove all traces of the grooves on the backstrap?

Maybe the owner wanted folks to know they used to be there...…...or maybe the 'smith felt the transition to the area above the grooves would be a little difficult to get right?
