Especially when the option is 8 rounds of .357 magnum or 18 rounds of 9mm; that's over twice as many rounds. You don't want to be reloading while the other guy is still shooting; trust me when I say, it's one of the worst feelings in the world.
Agree, I had to reload my revolver under fire during a gunfight in ‘74 and ran out of ammo after firing twelve rounds. It definitely changed my perspective.
