Ok... grab a tape measure and measure the rail that is part of the forged upper. I guarantee that rail is longer than 2".
In your box, your rifle should have come with a 2" section of rail. It will have screws and cam nuts to attach it to your hand guard. You set this rail over the oblong slots on your hand guard and when you tighten the screws the cam nuts turn so that it can't come out of the slot. That is your M-LOK picatinny rail. It might be loose, or it might be attached to the hand guard already.
Here is a video... you can move to the 2 minute mark if you want to skip hearing about the guy's rifle and hand guard he chose... But it shows how to mount the rail section.
