We had tools' in the house, never loaded and kept in gun racks. All friends, neighbors and kin were the same; hunting tools only.... safely stored. Only knew of one pistol, PawPaws snake charmer.

Never heard of a collection, safe or anyone having an injury from shooting or playing with guns. Us kids knew to leave them alone without adult supervision. Out of all the rules that were broken, playing with guns wasn't one.
