My favorite is not one that
I would expect. I like older blue guns with long barrels and nowadays, wood stocks. My favorite is shown below.
It's the Model 629-3 Mountain Gun that I bought brand new in 1993, not the M29-2. Even though it's stainless, even though it's just a 4" barrel, even though it wears Pachmayr rubber grips, even though it's not in the 1896-1961 category. The Compac Pro grip on the round butt grip frame fits my hand better than just about anything and makes even full-house loads easy to shoot. By comparison the target grips on the blue M29 are pretty to look at but miserable to use, even with the added weight of the untapered barrel.
I find it a great all-around gun. It's for shootin', not for lookin' at.
