Picked up a 422 at auction
I usually follow the revolver threads, but now with the addition of a 422 I have expanded into the S&W semi auto collecting too. so with my M&P Shield I'm off to a good start. Come on lotto I need more! I paid $259 for it and it came with 1 magazine. there is a small scuff on front of receiver where the bluing rubbed off and missing a grip screw. I contacted S&W customer service about a replacement screw and they are sending me one free of charge!
When I took it too the range the trigger wouldn't work. I took it apart at the range but couldn't figure it out but when I was back home and able to really look at it I figured out the magazine safety wasn't engaging. Probably from me slapping the magazine in to make sure it was seated and probably pushed it past the magazine safety catch and without the grip screw to hold it tight. anyhow next is to get a 12 round magazine and barrel adapter for a suppressor I will buy when I hit the lotto!
