Not cavalry sabers, per se. Those are the Model of 1902 For All Officers. Still Army standard, I believe.

Cavalry soon had the Patton saber, much like the British Model of 1908, Model 1912 in the fancier Officers edition. I think it's the most lethal sword issued in reasonably modern times. It was the result of a study of sword wounds and is meant for thrusts more than slashes.
