The Lawrence model 100 Quick Draw Flap Holster has fascinated me for years. Many years ago I had the chance to buy one like new for a 6 1/2" N frame S&W but I only had a 4" N at the time. I considered buying it and cutting off 2 1/2" but could not consider doing that to such a nice holster. All of the Lawrence ads for the model 100 that I have ever seen have contained the words "For Revolvers Only". According to "Ed McGivern's Book" the quick action flap top holsters were designed by Joseph R. Diekan, 41 Fulton St. New York, N Y. There are 2 examples shown on pp 376 of the BOOK. I recently got a Lawrence Model 100 in size 643 for a S&W Model 41 with 5 1/2" bull barrel. Thus they did make at least one for a semi auto pistol.
