Many, many years ago I worked night shift patrol at my PD. It was summertime and I had the car windows open. I heard a gunshot. I soon located the source; there a broken-down car on US 11 and a man standing next to it. As I rolled up, I recognized the man as being a fellow police officer.
His car had broken down, so he got out and shot it.
He was a strange bird indeed!
