I never thought to do that. I "assumed" the cylinder was ok
and the barrel was too. It shot fine, the ditch dirt clods broke
up and no lead was spit at the cylinder/barrel gap. I did do the
shine the light into the recoil shield cylinder gap and see if the
charge holes looked uniform with respect to the firing pin hole.
I need to quit being a Khyber Pass gunsmith and get a little lathe
and mill. Doing this stuff with Magic Markers, Glardon Valorbe
needle files, Sears Craftsman automotive feeler gages, 4"vice and
calibrated eyeball is a little primitive. A lot of fun but kinda crude.
